A chance to really hurt the Cubs in their race for the playoffs dissolved when Weathers gave up three in the 9th including the game winner to, say what ya' big dummy, Mark DeRosa. It's truly amazing how lucky Weathers has been this year. Seemingly putting two men on in every appearance and usually pulling a victory out of his ass.
If he'd been less lucky, he would be Stanton/Guardado/Majewski/Coffey, and maybe we could have seen if Bray or Whatshisfuck we got from the A's could handle the job.
