Day Off

A nice relaxing day today following a season worst bullpen meltdown last night. Those guys deserve a break. They've been working hard out there walking the bases loaded or giving up the game tying runs to Kaz Matsui. Time to lie on their backs and dream about giving up late inning runs to inferior teams.

The trip to St. Louis coincides with some changes in the Cardinals strategy, namely, the replacement of a couple of starters. The Reds will see both Todd Wellemeyer and Brad Thompson. It will be Wellemeyer's second start of the season and Thompson's sixth when they see them. Though the author is disappointed the team is going to miss Kip this time around, they'll have plenty of opportunities to shell him later in the season as he's approaching his 30th loss. It's these guys turn in the rotation, so they get to take their beatings. Get some rest boys, Hamilton and Big Frucking Nasty get back tomorrow. Time to par-tay.
