Now, the author doesn't want to get ahead of himself, or myself, whichever you prefer, but the Reds have been playing better baseball of late. Some nice defense and solid pitching won the game today, that throw from Hamilton in the top of the 12th was out of sight. Who knows what that gagoosh Michaels was thinking, must not know what a crack cocaine addiction does for a throwing arm. Harang was dominant for seven and even though Sabathia was dominant for nine, still a pretty nice start. That ERA is now down in a more Aaron Harang-type range, 3.93. He'll soon be crushing major league skulls somewhere in the 1.50-2.00 range.
Marcus McBeth, congratulations, not only on two consecutive days of work which imply you'll be staying with the Reds for a while, but on your first major league victory. Very nice two innings tonight, though cancer causing agents Saarloos and Big Frucking Nasty are tiring of being Bats, and they minor league tail that results. Remember that next time you think about putting a couple of runners on late in the game.
Finally, though there wasn't much offense of which to speak, the author is sure everyone could predict the Chad Moeller/Alex Gonzalez victory combination. Moeller sets the table, Gonzalez blows it up. Just like that, game over. Day off tomorrow before some of those fancy boys from the west coast come in but fewer missed opportunities to mull over for a change. Reds! Reds! Reds!
