The author was looking for a good action shot of Lohse in a Reds uniform, but couldn't find one. Apparently, there wasn't much of a market. That, however, was before today's performance. Lohse was even filthier than usual, striking out 12 Cubs over 8 very strong innings. Stanton and Weathers finished things off. Hamilton got an unexpected start when Dunn was a late scratch due to "back spasms." The author doesn't even want to think of about what "spasm" might be a code word for when dealing with the Big Donkey. Griffey and Conine got the two hits, but again, it's the Cubs, you don't need to work too hard out there. The limited offense just emphasized the Cubs' missed opportunities. Very wise Narron. Nothing burns more than when you let a winnable game slip away, except maybe being a Cubs fan. Reds! Reds! Reds!
