Whacking Day, Reds 3-2

Despite the fact that the festivities really should have begun on Monday and this beating was something less than savage, the author was pleased with the victory tonight. Hamilton's play continues to encourage kids to abuse drugs if only so that they can re-emerge years later to nearly unanimous public support. And the author has been remiss in his failure to point out the early successes of Adam Dunn. He's still hitting with power but now he's spraying balls (ha!) to all fields. And he has fewer strikeouts (8) than Freel (9) in more plate appearances. How about that for relevant content? He had another two hits this evening. B-Lizzle was rock solid, just the three hits over six. His two wins equal his total from last season and bring his career record up to an impressive 9-9. But this post would just be another picture of fudge if not for "Salsa King" Valentin's pinch double in the sixth. The author owes him one dinner at TGI Friday's (because we like to rock it every night of the week). Reds! Reds! Reds!

What's up with Encarnacion's benching being on the WWL's front page?
